House Rules
Think of this as our little “team playbook.” These House Rules are here to make working together smooth, fair, and stress-free. They outline what you can expect from me as your editor, and what I need from you as a client.
Clients
-
Clients are required to submit all files in an orderly, clearly labeled, and dated manner to avoid delays.
-
Delays caused by late submissions or incomplete files will result in shifted delivery timelines.
-
Once the first draft is delivered, clients have 24–72 hours to review and send feedback, as delays beyond this window may affect other client projects.
-
Silence beyond 72 hours may be considered approval, and the project may proceed or be marked as complete.
-
All feedback and revision requests must be collated and sent at once. Each round of requests counts as one revision. A third revision or additional changes will attract extra fees.
-
Clients are expected to respect agreed turnaround times and working hours. Urgent or last-minute requests are not guaranteed.
-
If files are submitted during work hours or on weekends, turnaround time begins the next business day to maintain a balanced workflow.
-
For retainer clients, projects paused due to client inactivity beyond 20 days may require a restart fee or be archived with no refund.
-
For retainer clients, switching video styles, editing formats, or creative direction is not always charged at the same rateand must be discussed in advance, as it may incur additional fees.
-
Final files should be downloaded and saved promptly (within 24–72 hours), as long-term storage is not guaranteed.
Editor (Throughyourclips)
-
I commit to delivering edits within the agreed turnaround time, provided all files and feedback are submitted on time.
-
I will communicate clearly and promptly regarding timelines, project progress, and any potential delays.
-
I will edit content according to the selected package and agreed creative direction, while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
-
I will handle all client content with confidentiality, professionalism, and care.
-
I will notify clients in advance of unavailability, breaks, or schedule changes that may affect project delivery.
-
I will strive to provide a collaborative, respectful, and smooth editing experience, keeping communication positive and professional.
-
Any additional work outside the agreed scope (including extra revisions, style changes, or edits not included in the selected package) will be discussed and may incur additional fees.
-
I reserve the right to decline or discontinue a project if client responsibilities are consistently not met, or if the working relationship becomes unprofessional.
-
I am not responsible for delays caused by incomplete or late client submissions, unclear feedback, or technical issues on the client’s end.
-
Final deliverables are considered complete once the agreed revisions have been submitted and approved. Requests for re-exports or changes after project completion may be subject to additional fees.
